VICTORIA'S OPEN RANGE ZOO

Clearly one of the world's great zoos, where animals from the grasslands of Australia, Africa and Asia live in conditions as close as possible to those they encounter in their natural habitats. Visitors undertake a 50 minute guided Wildlife Safari, which takes them amongst the animals and provides superb opportunities for "close up" animal encounters.

OLD MELBOURNE GOAL

Victoria's first prison, the Old Melbourne Goal, is one of Melbourne's oldest surviving buildings. This imposing bluestone institution is where 136 people, including iconic bushranger Ned Kelly, were hanged.

FEDERATION SQUARE

Federation Square, in the heart of Melbourne, is a relatively new destination for visitors and locals alike. Since it opened in October 2002 more than 24 million people have set foot in this architectually innovative attraction. Federation Square is now a new centre of cultural activity for Melbourne, a long-awaited large, open public space. The size of an entire city block, Federation Square is a focus for Melbourne and Victorian community life. People congregate or stroll unimpeded through the square admiring the views, or in and out of the many exits and entrances leading back to the city and along the Yarra River.

LUNA PARK

Melbournes Luna Park is a galaxy of amusements and sensations. From the jaw dropping, eye ball popping super thrill rides like the Pharoahs Curse, Metropolis and the Enterprise, to the exhilarating rides like the Spider, Twin Dragon, G Force and Shock Drop, you are bound to have an awesome time!

MELBOURNE ZOO

More than 350 animal species from Australia and around the world are on view just 4 km from the centre of Melbourne, in a botanic garden setting of 55 acres / 22 hectares. Melbourne Zoo is Australia's oldest: it opened on this site in 1862. Significant historic features such as the design of the Main Walk and an early 20th Century menagerie exhibit are preserved in an historic zone so visitors will be able to measure the great improvements which have been achieved.

MELBOURNE AQUARIUM

The Melbourne Aquarium showcases a spectacular collection of Australian aquatic life with over 10,000 exotic animals.
