ENVIRONMENT SUSTAINABILITY ACHIEVEMENTS
At Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, we recognise the need to be responsible towards our environment and the effort required to preserve the environment for future generations. Since the launch of the Sustainability Policy by Rendezvous Hotels International in 2008, the hotel has been taking active steps wherever we can to increase recycling and reduce waste production.
We are proud to say that as a result of our efforts, we have been accredited a Bronze Green Globe certification. Green Globe is a programme designed to help organisations make a contribution towards a more sustainable world. This is achieved by changing our strategic and decision making processes so that we may monitor our performance and therefore identify areas that need attention.
We have also been awarded the Eco-Friendly STAR by AAA in partnership with Green Globe.
This is in addition to the Green Globe award and is a statement that we are socially responsible and committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our hotel.
The hotel was also a finalist in the national AHA Awards category for "Best Environmental Initiative 2008".
